About ImmigrationDB
An independent, free reference for people deciding where to live — built from official sources, with every number traceable to the register it came from.
Why this exists
People choosing a new place to live usually compare the handful of cities they have already heard of. The facts that would let them compare fairly are public, but they sit in dozens of national and regional registers, in different languages, formats and definitions. ImmigrationDB collects those facts and puts them side by side, so that a comfortable place a reader has never heard of has the same chance of being found as a famous one.
Who runs it
Maksim Streltcov builds and maintains ImmigrationDB alone. There is no company behind it, no team, no investor and no sponsor. Corrections and source suggestions come through the contact form and are checked against the affected record.

National statistical offices, regional and municipal registers, and authoritative international organisations. Every published value keeps its direct source URL, the publisher, the geographic scope it was measured over, the observation period and the date it was last verified. Nothing is estimated to fill a gap: a value we do not have is published as missing, not invented.
Read the methodologyHow it is paid for
Nothing on this site is for sale. There is no sponsor, no paid placement, no affiliate arrangement, no paywall and no account. No city, country or route is ranked higher because someone paid for it, because nobody can.
What ImmigrationDB does not do
It is not a law firm, an immigration adviser or a service provider, and it does not process, submit or assess any application. For visas and legal routes we publish a link to the responsible official authority and short quotations from its own published text, so that a reader can go straight to the source and read it there.
Free data, credited sources
Public data should stay public. Everything ImmigrationDB compiles is published free of charge and free to reuse under CC BY 4.0, and every reused record should carry its original source with it — the same rule the site applies to itself.
