The information in this section is not yet applicable. You can apply to carry out research activities in Belgium if you have concluded a hosting agreement with an approved research organisation in Belgium. A hosting agreement can be concluded if your host institution has approved your research project and has assessed your qualifications as a researcher. If you receive a research grant, this grant is equal to those received by Belgian nationals. If you fulfil the conditions, you will be issued a single permit for residence and work and a long stay visa. Please note that you can also apply for a single permit as guest professor or postdoctoral scholar provided you fulfil the required criteria. COfficial source
