You can find information below on the conditions to fulfil and procedures to follow, as well as the rights you can enjoy during your stay. 1 April 2025 Page contents Page contents Conditions To work and reside in Latvia as a highly-qualified worker for longer than 90 days within half a year (counting from the first day of entrance), you can apply for an EU Blue Card. To qualify for a Blue Card, you must hold a university or college diploma from an educational programme that lasted three years or longer or at least 5 years long professional experience in the respective field. You must also earn an annual salary of 1.5 times the national average wage (for certain professions an annual salary of 1.2 times the national average wage is applicable.
