Kela's 1 March–31 December 2026 table gives EUR 578.43/month for a person living alone, EUR 497.45 for an adult sharing a household, EUR 665.19 for a single parent, EUR 422.25 for an adult living with parents and published child age/order amounts from EUR 318.14 to EUR 417.63; payable social assistance is calculated from acceptable expenses minus income and assets.

Kela's migration-benefit guidance gives two exact migrant profiles: ‘If you have been granted asylum in Finland, you can get benefits from Kela if you intend to live in Finland permanently’; and ‘As a quota refugee, you can get benefits from Kela immediately after you have moved to Finland.’ Kela's social-assistance page states that social assistance can be paid to a person or family resident in Finland whose income and assets do not cover essential daily expenses, while it expressly excludes asylum seekers receiving immigrant reception services. granted-asylum/permanent-residence and quota-refugee profiles, with the social-assistance income, asset and last-resort conditions still required.

Kela's current child-benefit page gives EUR 94.88 per month for one child, EUR 104.84 for the second, EUR 133.79 for the third, EUR 173.24 for the fourth and EUR 192.69 for the fifth and each additional child; the under-three increase is EUR 26 and the single-parent supplement is EUR 73.30. Åland has a separate table.

Kela states that a child-benefit claimant qualifies when ‘you live permanently in Finland with your child’. The same official page separately states: ‘If you work in Finland, you can receive child benefit even if you and your child do not live in Finland permanently’, and that a claimant ‘may also be entitled to child benefit on the basis of employment if your child lives in another EU or EEA country or Switzerland’. Other child-age and care conditions also apply.

Kela states that general housing allowance can cover up to 70% of recognised housing costs after the basic deductible, subject to municipality-specific maximum housing-cost limits and household income/assets; an allowance below EUR 15 per month is not paid. The calculation page gives 0.7 x (acceptable housing costs – basic deductible).

Kela's general housing allowance page gives two source-defined migrant routes. For a person who has moved from another country it says: ‘You may have the right to general housing allowance (yleinen asumistuki) if you have moved to Finland from another country and you live in Finland permanently’; it adds that permanent residence will usually be considered after one year. For a person who moved to Finland to work, it says that the person may have the right if they are a citizen of an EU or EEA country or Switzerland. two bounded profiles; household, income, assets, housing-cost and student-status rules also apply.

Kela's current general social security benefit page states that the general social security benefit is EUR 37.21 per day and is paid for 5 days a week; it also gives an average of EUR 800.02 per month.

Kela's FAQ answers the question ‘Can Ukrainians with a residence permit granted on the basis of temporary protection get general social security benefit?’: ‘Starting from 1 May, individuals staying in Finland with a temporary residence permit can get general social security benefit for a maximum of 400 days if they fulfil the work requirement (työssäoloehto).’ bounded profile of a temporary-protection residence-permit holder in Finland meeting the work requirement; the source also requires unemployment, age 18–64 and the other general social-security-benefit conditions.

The Finnish Immigration Service 2026 table gives monthly reception-allowance amounts of EUR 300/88 for a person living alone without/with meals, EUR 254/72 for another person over 18, EUR 336/97 for a single parent, EUR 210/60 for a child aged 10–17 living with family and EUR 191/57 for a child under 10 living with family; the amount is individually calculated from income, funds and need.

The Finnish Immigration Service page states: ‘If you are an asylum seeker or have applied for or have been granted temporary protection, you may get reception allowance.’ It further requires that the person or family does not have enough income and funds for immediate basic needs. two source-defined profiles: an asylum seeker in Finland eligible for reception allowance, and a person who has applied for or been granted temporary protection in Finland eligible for reception allowance.
